Jim Iyke, Ini Edo, Others Emerge As INEC Ambassadors

Ahead of the 2015 general elections in February 2014, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has unveiled some Nigerian entertainers which include Ini Edo, Jim Iyke, Frank Edward, Bishop Okon, Nafisat Abdallahi and few others as Youth Ambassadors.

The unveiling was held in Abuja on Monday as part of activities to mark the two-day Nigerian Youth Summit organized by the commission.

Engineer Nuru Yakubu, INEC National Commissioner, in his address said the privileged youth ambassadors are to use their good influence and goodwill to spread the message of a free and violence free election to their fan base.

His words: “This is a time to vote and eschew violence with complete awareness that a candidate may win or lose election because every candidate is highly qualified to win.”

The crowned ambassadors in their remarks dedicated the title to God and promised to ensure they use their influence to not only sensitize their fan base on voting but to make their vote count.
