According to a statement issued by US Public Affairs Session, United States Government transferred NNS Okpabana – the first Nigerian vessel to have a Regional Maritime Awareness Capability (R-Mack) system onboard to Nigeria. NNS Okpabana arrived in Nigeria on January 2, 2015, and was commissioned by President Goodluck Jonathan today, February 19, 2015.
