Hannah Ojo
Hannah Ojo studied English at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State. She was actively involved in Campus journalism through the Campus Life pages of The Nation newspaper. She was pioneer winner, “Coca-Cola/NBC Reporter of the Year”, a national campus journalism award organized by the Coca-Cola Company and The Nation Newspaper in 2009. Other awards she won on that platform are Best Opinion writer (2009), Best Politics Report (2011) and Best Sports Report (2011). She emerged first runner up in the 2013 JFC Innovative Young Journalist of the year awards and has won prizes in essay competitions organized on the platforms of the Bible Society of Nigeria, African Liberty Organisation, Spur Magazine, amongst others. She also boasts of freelancing experience with a couple of print and online medium. Her working experience also spans through reporting on the features page of the Delta state government owned The Pointer Newspaper. Hannah is passionate about journalism and committed to learning and social development. She has a knack for features writing with special interest in Women, Children, Health, Environmental reporting as well as the Arts. She is presently engaged with The Nation Newspaper.
